- It is the art of removing dents and dings from car panels without the
use of body fillers and/or repainting. This is possible due to
“memory” in today’s auto metals memory is what gives cars their
many curves, lines, and aerodynamic features. What disrupts this
memory are those unsightly dents and dings we get from parking
lots, storms and hail stones. Paintless Dent Removal (PDR)
technicians use these physical properties of today’s flexible metals
to massage the memory back to the way it was before being
damaged. By using special designed tools and accessing the
backside of the damaged panel, the technician can significantly
improve or fully restore the panel to pre-accident condition.

- WHY DOES THE PDR PROCESS NOT CRACK THE PAINT?
Assuming that the dent is a good candidate for PDR, today’s more flexible metals also require flexible
paint. Flex agents in the paint makes PDR completely effective without any harm to the finish.
WILL I BE ABLE TO SEE THE REPAIR AREAS WHEN IT IS COMPLETE?
Please keep in mind that PDR is a craft oriented industry and not everyone is as skilled as others.
Experience is the key to this craft. Of course, you may call at any time to ask further questions about
Paintless Dent Removal.

What Is Paintless
Dent Removal ( PDR)? |
What Is Paintless Dent Removal (PDR)?
- Retain original manufacturer’s finish and warranty
- Eliminate concerns regarding paint matching
- Much faster repair- as little as one hour per dent
- Significantly less expensive repair method
- No filling, sanding, or grinding of panels
- Environmentally friendly- No airborne paints
- Financially friendly- Even in severe cases PDR can reduce costs and materials
- THE COST, YOU MAY ASK?
This process should not be taken lightly. Experience is the key to a good repair. Believe me, I have seen
the difference. Most repairs per panel range from $150.00 - $200.00. It just depends on Size, How Many,
and where the dent is located. Sometimes inner panels need removed which takes time, which cost more.
|
- IS THERE A CHANCE THE DENTS WILL REAPPEAR AT A
LATER TIME?
Absolutely not! Experienced technicians produce outstanding results.
Kurt "The Dent Man" has over twenty years experience.
WHAT SIZE DENT CAN A PDR TECHNICIAN REPAIR?
Naturally, this depends on where the damage on the car panel is or how
sharp the object was that struck the car panel. Other issues are number
of dents per panel, and the condition of the car’s finish. Anything Hail
Damage related that is larger than 1/2 dollar has most likely stretched
the metal and may require conventional body shop repair methods
and/or panel replacement. It is important to know that even skilled
technicians have their limits.
